As SIDC of a state is to act as ‘Supplier’ of goods and services, produced and provided by the MSE s, to be procured by all Ministries, departments, aided institutions, PSU s of Central and State Governments, ASIDC has good opportunities to expand its Marketing Assistance scheme.

The Preference Procurement Policy outlined by the Central Government has given scope to streamline and strengthen the APSP Act by which ASIDC can expect to implement the scheme of preference procurement in a meaningful and extensive way.

‘The North East Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy 2007’ has outlined many measures for the development the service sector. In this regard, ASIDC may venture into the creation of the necessary infrastructures and manpower.

The opening up the PPP route of development for the PSE s, has provided scope to ASIDC to take up infrastructure related projects for optimum utilization of its available real estates without involving budgetary support from the Govt.
